- Help structure and drive key quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the introduction of new AHD diagnostics and treatment with support and supervision from supervisor.- Support the development of evidence-based technical advice to Ministries of Health, CHAI country teams, and in-country partners in development and implementation of AHD packages of care for adults and children.- Help accelerate access to new critical AHD screening and treatment commodities, including assisting with new product introduction strategy, market shaping initiatives and procurement processes.- Provide support for partner management and donor engagement, including facilitating information sharing, drafting agendas and meeting slides, supporting meeting planning, taking and organizing notes and follow-ups, etc.- Support in translating AHD global evidence and best practices to the country level, including distilling and communicating messages to country teams and other partners.- Develop and maintain effective processes to facilitate efficient operations across AHD grant teams.- Support to general AHD program operations, including meeting coordination and planning and support management in fostering a collaborative team environment which supports and engages team members.- Prepare presentations that include analyses, cross-country insights, and program lessons for internal and external audiences.- Maintain up-to-date expertise across HIV, and specifically AHD, including the latest trends, and research developments, and developing updates for country and global team members.- Maintain and expand knowledge management platforms to enable information sharing across teams.- Other responsibilities as requested by supervisor.
- Provide strategic and analytical support to EM O2 program implementation activities, including but not limited to, working with, and engaging with field staff to review programmatic activities, track implementation of activities, and monitor and review outputs.- Undertake research and analyze large datasets to generate insightful reports and dashboards that can inform programmatic decision making.- Closely work with State Lead to support officials in the DoHFW and other state governments including division and district level health staff in identifying and bridging gaps in hypoxemia management system.- Identify and communicate potential risks and challenges to the implementation plan and roll-out of activities; work towards addressing potential risks/ mitigation mechanisms.- Support the development of presentations, work plans, budgets, reports, proposals, articles, and other documents for ongoing and new areas.- Develop strong working relationships with and represent WJCF as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders in government, academic partners, suppliers, and other relevant organizations, and ensure coordination of resources and effort for maximum impact.- Support in the planning and execution of capacity building initiatives for key government functionaries and service providers on relevant competencies for sustained ownership and delivery.- Support program management and leadership team with programmatic activities, and evaluation and scoping of other potential intervention areas, as required.- Contribute to internal organizational initiatives.- Other responsibilities as needed.

- Conduct thorough analyses through primary and secondary research to identify barriers to immunization coverage.- Develop decision trees to systematically address identified issues and enhance coverage rates.- Analyze complex datasets, both qualitative and quantitative, to derive meaningful insights.- Develop visualization tools to aid internal and external leadership in decision-making.- Utilize design thinking techniques to devise innovative strategies for reducing Zero Dose children.- Collaborate with stakeholders across public health to incorporate diverse perspectives into potential solutions.- Develop detailed implementation plans for piloting new approaches and interventions in immunization service delivery.- Support state teams in implementing plans and play a key role in tracking progress against milestones.- Collaborate with program leadership to initiate ideas and contribute to the development of proposals for new grants and projects.- Ensure alignment with program objectives and actively participate in the proposal development process.- Work both independently and collaboratively to execute planned immunization support interventions comprehensively.- Be prepared for short-notice travel as required.- Undertake any other duties as requested by program leadership to support the overall objectives.
Monitoring & Evaluation and Analytics- Support design and implementation of M&E strategy and knowledge management activities aligned with programmatic work plans for the EM O2 program for tracking progress and impact measurement;- Support development of study design and research, monitoring, and evaluation tools, including research protocols, ethics applications, and standard operating procedures, for the evaluation surveys, process evaluations and outcomes evaluations;- Coordinate with national and state health departments to help design research studies for improved decision making. Where relevant, liaise with academic institutions and/or other implementing partners that might have relevant data that can be leveraged for program monitoring and improvement;- Design and implement relevant data collection and validation activities including field testing, training, and evaluation;- Support the capacity building of programme teams on comprehensive data management, recording, reporting and dashboarding tools and processes that will generate credible, actionable, and timely information;- Participate in assessment visits, supervision and mentoring at facilities and utilize data collected to ensure programs are moving in right direction, identify bottlenecks and solutions;- Support in regularly updating the M&E dashboard and reporting frameworks for ongoing projects, tracking the project progress as per the annual work plan and ensure reporting on project activities according to the M&E indicators;- Coordinate with CHAI Global Program and M&E team to align India program evaluation indicators with that of other countries; - Provide training and mentoring to the EM O2 program staff on M&E, including field-based staff in program states, as required.Knowledge Management and Learning- Support in showcasing of results in local, regional, and global level through contributing to development of communication materials such as presentations, reports, briefs, and publications, based on knowledge and lessons learnt from ongoing interventions;- Support in development and dissemination of routinely updated knowledge products produced by the EM O2 program with wider stakeholders both in a local and global level through various platforms and channels.
Strategic Priorities- Serve as a key advisor to internal teams, external partners, and Ministries of Health to identify context-appropriate strategies to improve surveillance and campaigns management across surveillance system design, technology design, implementation factors, and human capacity- Ensure all country priorities and initiatives relating to health informatics are well grounded in surveillance principles and best practices of data collection, reporting, visualization and use, are aligned with broader national programmatic strategies and data use objectives/activities, and are designed for institutionalization and sustainability from inception- Scope and develop strategic approaches, theories of change, and targeted outcomes and outputs for new areas of work; support new projects and teams in start-up phasesProject Oversight and Execution- Oversee the execution of health informatics priorities and their intersection with surveillance and analytics; ensure priority goals and expected outcomes are achieved in a timely manner- Problem-solve barriers to meeting programmatic objectives, including technical challenges, operational or implementation challenges, and political challenges- Provide hands-on support for technical project management and execution as needed, including but not limited to requirements-gathering, solution design, developer management, system configuration, testing support, supervision support, and SOP development- Help monitor, evaluate, and improve the performance of surveillance systems and processes- Drive dashboard and routine data use initiatives across Africa; ensure dashboards are fit-for purpose, and that dashboards, data review meetings, and data use guides are user-targeted and increasingly institutionalized by the programTeam and People Management- Manage and support the work of a regional team of ~7 Health Informatics Technical Advisors and Associates, including 2-3 direct reports; collaboratively set priorities with team and help coordinate work activities with program and country teams as needed- Develop and mentor staff including health informatics associates and epidemiologists through routine coaching and mentorship, implementing strategies to troubleshoot areas of weakness, and providing opportunities for professional growth and development- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with other CHAI teams to ensure cohesive collaboration, alignment on goals and priorities, and mutual trust- Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members to ensure proficiency with technical concepts, program strategy, country priorities, and organizational cultureCommunications- Help draft and contribute to proposals, donor reports, and grant deliverables- Lead documentation and sharing of findings, best practices, and lessons learned across countries on surveillance and health informatics topics both internally and externally- Other tasks as required

Lead the development and coordinate the implementation of CHAI’s global eyeglasses access strategy. This includes:- Identify high-impact opportunities for increasing access to eyeglasses.- Identify and engage with strategic partners to drive the implementation. Examples include the World Health Organization, EYElliance, donors, professional associations, and academic institutions.- Develop and maintain a comprehensive evidence-based approach on what works to increase access to glasses, incl. u- data on the global burden, impact evidence, and best-practice interventions.- Develop a global CHAI strategy for increasing access to eyeglasses in consultation with CHAI country teams, technical teams, and leadership.- Lead the dissemination of this strategy, track progress and propose updates that are informed by learnings of context changes.Provide support to CHAI country teams with developing and implementing existing and new eyeglasses programs:- Facilitate knowledge sharing across CHAI program countries.- Help liaise with technical experts where relevant.- Coordinate or lead the development of global knowledge sharing products, this includes publications and external communications.- Where useful and relevant, support with the development of donor reports.- Where appropriate, assist countries with information to establish or strengthen local production.Help identify potential funders and develop concept notes:- Conduct a comprehensive mapping of potential funders.- Develop an engagement plan. This may involve coordination with our partners (e.g., EYElliance).- Inform countries about funding opportunities.- Support with the development of concepts notes and proposals. This may involve leading multi-country proposals.Work with global stakeholders via new and existing coalitions to increase awareness and donor investments that will drive change at a global scale:- As part of the strategy, develop a comprehensive partnership and advocacy plan.- Lead CHAI’s engagement with strategic partners, like the WHO SPECS 2030 imitative.- Identify opportunities for establishing new partnerships and evaluate ongoing partnerships.- Represent at global events, where useful and relevant.- Develop presentations and communication materials for internal and external audiences and stakeholders.Develop investment plans:- Map evidence on cost-effective interventions- Support the testing and evaluation of what delivery channels are most cost-effective for delivering eyeglasses to different target populations in various settings.Other responsibilities as needed by supervisor.
