The candidate’s main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:- Assist the foundation’s HIP team to design, develop and implement project activities as required by the partnership framework, work plan and budget;- Lead research to serve the identification and formation of specific projects, including disease context, technology platforms, global health interventions, regulatory pathway and product markets;- Conduct landscaping, stakeholder and company interviews, quantitative analysis, market research;- Prepare background papers, technical briefs, and high-quality strategic reports and presentations for engaging both internal teams and external stakeholders;- Organize meetings, workshops and seminars;- Develop methodologies including tools, processes, key performance/success indicators that are highly relevant and appropriate for analyses, project management and goal fulfillment;- Provide strategic recommendations for development of new programs, project management, communication and process improvement;- Project/grant management, including reviewing inquiries, grant proposals and reports, regular check in with grantee, and technical supports on problem solving, etc;- Other responsibilities as needed.

- Overall Program management, accountability and oversight in terms of:- Ensuring that the program has an FCDO approved workplan, Logframe, budget and forecasts as part of official program documents- Ensuring that these are shared and communicated to all leads, teams and partners working and billing to the project- Understanding the FCDO inception, implementation and close out phase milestones, timelines and expectations and that these are communicated to all teams working in the program- Leading and managing the achievement of the program outputs, in consultation with the technical leads in the different work streamsmeasuring, and ensuring that the objectives of the grant through the program log-frame and workplans are achieved - ensuring that all teams work against the approved workplan and report against the approved Logframe- Identifying, documenting and communicating program risks as part of program management, and be able to report urgent, threatening risks early to the Senior Director CHAI, and to Program Officer at FCDO as necessary in agreement with the Senior Director- Establishing and managing a good relationship with the FCDO Program Officer overseeing the CHAI projectProviding operational program management including recruitment and management of personnel, and ensuring cohesive teamwork, as a Team leader- Developing and maintaining a program governance framework for program review meetings, monitoring of deliverables and collation of program and donor reports- Budget development, oversight, management, expenditure control, reporting and observe allowable variances as set by donor, working closely with the Finance Manager- Ensure compliance with the responsibilities in the grant framework and manage and maintain the risk management tool- Support the Senior Director in managing the relationship with the donor, consortium partners, CHAI sub-awardees, DoH- Lead monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning (MERL) efforts with the aim to maintain and update comprehensive, feasible M&E frameworks that will generate credible, actionable and timely information as required by the donor- Oversee and support all five program objectives, ensuring alignment and coordination of programmatic activities to ensure successful execution of the program- Oversee and support the Senior Director (and CHAI) with the program strategy, planning, and implementation, including analysis, policy, and guideline development and review by engaging with partners and other CHAI teams on related program initiatives, as it relates to the implementation of programmatic plans- Participate in business development through developing concept notes, and proposals and seeking additional funding- Document program activities in a form of case studies and peer-reviewed publications- Execute any other additional responsibilities, as requested by the Senior Director.

African Health Diagnostics Project (AHDP) - Conduct stakeholder engagements required to establish a possible public-private partnership agreement in the diagnostics landscape in Malawi.- Support defining and refining of potential project options and conduct prefeasibility analysis of each option.- Play a leading role in conducting in depth feasibility study for selected project option(s).- Recommend options for PPPs that deliver on the country’s diagnostic goals but are also affordable, and viable as business propositions for private sector providers and align to the health financing vision of the Health Sector Strategic Plan III.- Align the scope of the proposed PPP (including the types of diagnostics services at each level of care) with the integrated Health Service Packages.- Project the expected CapEx and OpEx costs for diagnostics services in the PPP and analyze sustainable long-term financing options for these services in alignment for the Health Sector Strategic Plan III’s vision.- Lead presentations and discussions with relevant government departments and stakeholders (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, Public Private Partnership Commission, etc.) as well as with donors.- Support the design of a tendering process and workflow for private investor which maximizes the chance of receiving competitive bids and selecting a competent provider.- Facilitate and advise on negotiations and engagement with private sector bidders, on behalf of governments to ensure value for money is achieved from the PPPs.Cross-cutting Analytical Support to Infectious Diseases cluster- Conduct, in collaboration with other team members, real-time analysis of infectious diseases/epidemics intelligence data, from a broad range of sources including non-health sectors, for infectious diseases/epidemic forecasting and detection.- Analyse, systematize, and disseminate scientific and evidence-based technical information and knowledge.- Support the development of research protocols, Situation Reports, management of real time dashboards, other related regular and ad-hoc surveillance reports.- Develop and implement data collection systems, data analyses using statistical techniques, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases to bring visibility and support decision making.- Understand the programs requirements to identify problems to solve and restrict the slice of data to be explored.- Perform statistical analysis and experiments to derive programme insights and report on measurable impacts of programs being implemented.- Develop detailed and clear tools based on the indicators for gathering data from various sources.- Perform cleaning, processing, and validation on the data subjects to analyse, to ensure its quality and visibility.- Clearly communicate the findings from the analysis to turn information into something actionable through reports, dashboards, and/or presentations.- Provide input to communications and information products (situation reports, Health Cluster bulletins, policy briefs, etc.) as required.- Strengthen the capacities of national and sub-national M&E teams for the effective and sustained monitoring of epidemics/infectious diseases through training courses.- Perform any other incident-specific related duties as required by the functional supervisor.

- Lead on design and implementation of evaluations and programmatic M&E to inform program design across CHAI programs. This may include but is not limited to quantitative evaluations, cost modelling, programmatic monitoring, and qualitative approaches to elucidate and address health gaps.- Lead the development and tailoring of study designs to help address key questions and uncertainties related to donor priorities; collaborate with CHAI teams and donors to discuss trade-offs of design considerations.- Work with CHAI teams to develop broader monitoring, evaluation, and learning agenda together with appropriate budget.- Be a thought partner and provide strategic and technical guidance to teams to respond to donor questions related to study design and study implementation.- Interact on a regular basis with senior stakeholders within and outside of CHAI. These will include donors, national stakeholders, and data collection firms.- Be a trusted advisor to CHAI teams and government partners to help tailor measurement approaches to strategic and programmatic questions.- Develop and cultivate positive relationships with internal and external groups, including academic groups, in-country partners, external evaluators, and contribute towards communities of practice or technical working groups.- Collaborate with country teams and government partners to translate results into actionable and policy-relevant recommendations and develop dissemination materials.

- Help structure and drive key quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the introduction of new AHD diagnostics and treatment with support and supervision from supervisor.- Support the development of evidence-based technical advice to Ministries of Health, CHAI country teams, and in-country partners in development and implementation of AHD packages of care for adults and children.- Help accelerate access to new critical AHD screening and treatment commodities, including assisting with new product introduction strategy, market shaping initiatives and procurement processes.- Provide support for partner management and donor engagement, including facilitating information sharing, drafting agendas and meeting slides, supporting meeting planning, taking and organizing notes and follow-ups, etc.- Support in translating AHD global evidence and best practices to the country level, including distilling and communicating messages to country teams and other partners.- Develop and maintain effective processes to facilitate efficient operations across AHD grant teams.- Support to general AHD program operations, including meeting coordination and planning and support management in fostering a collaborative team environment which supports and engages team members.- Prepare presentations that include analyses, cross-country insights, and program lessons for internal and external audiences.- Maintain up-to-date expertise across HIV, and specifically AHD, including the latest trends, and research developments, and developing updates for country and global team members.- Maintain and expand knowledge management platforms to enable information sharing across teams.- Other responsibilities as requested by supervisor.

- Conduct thorough analyses through primary and secondary research to identify barriers to immunization coverage.- Develop decision trees to systematically address identified issues and enhance coverage rates.- Analyze complex datasets, both qualitative and quantitative, to derive meaningful insights.- Develop visualization tools to aid internal and external leadership in decision-making.- Utilize design thinking techniques to devise innovative strategies for reducing Zero Dose children.- Collaborate with stakeholders across public health to incorporate diverse perspectives into potential solutions.- Develop detailed implementation plans for piloting new approaches and interventions in immunization service delivery.- Support state teams in implementing plans and play a key role in tracking progress against milestones.- Collaborate with program leadership to initiate ideas and contribute to the development of proposals for new grants and projects.- Ensure alignment with program objectives and actively participate in the proposal development process.- Work both independently and collaboratively to execute planned immunization support interventions comprehensively.- Be prepared for short-notice travel as required.- Undertake any other duties as requested by program leadership to support the overall objectives.

- Support the Global Market Team (GMT) in developing and implementing CHAI’s supply-side strategy for the Nutrition portfolio- Develop a detailed understanding and documentation of supplier dynamics, including market share of suppliers, pricing offered by suppliers, timelines for product development and manufacturing, timelines for obtaining quality assurance for key drugs and diagnostics, status of in-country registration of drugs, in-country dossier filing timelines, and suppliers’ development and access strategies- Analyze market trends and develop demand forecasts and uptake models for new and existing commodities and services- Liaise with the R&D team, the disease team and country teams to develop the market analysis required to support negotiations with suppliers to expedite time-to-market, reduce pricing and improve supply security - Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential suppliers of drugs and diagnostics in low-middle-income markets by providing market insights and contacts, offering targeted support and guidance to navigate regulatory and procurement processes- Support the development and evaluation of Request of Proposals for commodities and services in collaboration with CHAI country programs and government partners- Monitor supplier compliance with contracts, global and domestic funding for product purchase, and product uptake- Prepare presentations, reports, and other analyses to inform global policy and increase the evidence base for high-impact interventions. Present findings of analyses to internal and or external audiences- Any other activities as required by the Manager and Director, Global Markets- Travel within India, Europe, and CHAI program countries

- Lead the design and development of M&E frameworks and develop implementation and reporting mechanisms to facilitate effective oversight and management at the national, state and district levels- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in government, international partners, donors and NGOs, and ensure maximum coordination of resources and effort- Synthesize results and disseminate them internally and externally through presentations, reports, briefs and publications- Act as a thought partner to the implementation team in streamlining data systems with operational processes- Design and implement programme review and monitoring processes at national and state level- Support the Project Director and Program Lead in ensuring that the M&E and surveillance activities are aligned with programmatic work plans and inform policy processes- Support Project Director in donor reporting activities including consolidation of relevant data and evidence of impact- Supervise activities and provide guidance to the M&E Analysts, Data analysts and MIS Lead- Monitor and support development and maintenance of project MIS and dashbboards- Support the development of study design and research and evaluation tools, including research protocols, ethics applications, and standard operating procedures (quantitative and qualitative)- Where relevant, liaise with academic institutions and/or other implementing partners that might have relevant data that can be leveraged for program monitoring

- Support Finance Lead to ensure high standard of financial stewardship, maintaining books, accounts and other financial records adhering the financial standard of CHAI financial system to ensure accountability.- Prepare documentation for payment transactions including but not limited to cash advances, petty cash, in-house transfers, checks and transfer forms.- Prepare bank payment in internet banking or check payment and seeks Finance & HR Coordinator approval.- Prepare all staff expense reimbursement, cash/travel advances and payments to vendor/supplier/partner.- Prepare all Payment Voucher and ensure it has adequate supporting documents.- Creates online bank transfers and sends to Finance Coordinator and country leadership for approval.- Review and verify all Payment Request of its accuracy of account code, unit costs, expense description, PID, GID in line with CHAI Finance Policy before issuing Payment Voucher for approval.- Writes new checks (in case of petty cash withdrawal or payment is made by check) and have it signed-off by country leadership. - Assist Program Officers in preparing Program Activity Budget.- Assist Finance Lead in preparing Monthly Financial Report.- Works with Finance Lead to prepare for internal and external audits.- Maintains petty cash account and records petty cash transactions in the Petty Cash Book in a timely manner.- Prepares monthly petty cash book for petty cash replenishment and manages cash withdrawals from the bank when cash on hand falls below the threshold.- Conducts month-end physical cash count.- To file all the data of financial report.- Negotiate with the bank officer to get the good rate in conversion from US Dollar account into Rupiah account.- Conduct monthly payment of BPJS Kesehatan premium.- Prepare transactions input/journal in QuickBooks for program activities expenses and office expenses.- Maintain office utilities payments.- Responsible for planning, monitoring and ensure payment of office running costs, such as telephone, internet, utility, and office supply, ensure bills are paid in timely manner- Maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions.- Ensure financial records are kept up to date with the latest transactions and charges.- Assist Finance Lead to update Finance Policy and Procedures.- Other duties as required by the management.
