Strategy development and planning:- In collaboration with team leadership, develop and refine the STRIDE grant’s KM strategy, learning agenda, and operational priorities.- Develop a plan to capture, analyze, document, and disseminate evidence from learning agenda. This will include refining the KM strategy throughout the course of the grant.- Work closely with country and global teams to ensure inclusion of learning agenda-related activities in annual workplans and appropriate resource allocation.- Identify and pursue opportunities to partner with other relevant organizations, donors, governments, etc. for joint development of learning products (where appropriate) and dissemination activities.Knowledge generation:- Work closely with global and country teams to lead and coordinate documentation and dissemination of grant-related outcomes, processes, approaches, and innovations as part of operationalizing the KM strategy and learning agenda.- Write, edit, and review learning and communication products including but not limited to program, policy, and technical briefs; conference abstracts and presentations; peer-reviewed journal articles and other publications; conceptualize and develop infographics and other visual aids as needed.- Work closely with global and country teams to refine existing measurement and evaluation systems and dashboards to ensure they support continuous learning cycles and adaptive management and provide the content needed for development of learning products.- Provide oversight on the strategic scheduling, flow, content, and quality of learning and communication materials, establishing a process to manage grant learning and communication assets.- Prompt, facilitate, and document pause and reflect learning sessions after all significant events and processes (meetings, brainstorming sessions, etc.).Knowledge storing and sharing:- Establish internal systems and processes to capture, store, and easily retrieve generated knowledge and communication products (e.g., best practices, manuals, tools, guidelines, policies, and strategies).- Strengthen use of Box as the repository for project, learning, and communication documents; facilitate awareness and use of these materials within and across CHAI teams.- Capture and distill insights on implementation of KM systems and processes to improve impact and practice of KM materials and systems.- Ensure development and delivery of high-quality, participatory knowledge/learning exchange events (e.g., webinars, conference sessions, and other events) to internal and external audiences and stakeholders.Capacity building:- Lead the development of tools, processes, and skills to enhance capacity for ongoing KM efforts within CHAI teams.- Support the development and implementation of approaches led by country teams to build the KM capacity of government partners.- Coach individuals and teams on the use of KM processes and tools.- Continually build own KM and learning capacity and skills.- Other responsibilities as needed.

- Lead and support HIV, and HIV related programing including cervical cancer and ensure that project activities are aligned to the needs, in keeping with optimal diagnostic/treatment practices, and operational feasibility within the Zimbabwean health system- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in government, international partners, donors, and NGOs, to ensure coordination of resources to facilitate consensus on process, policy, and implementation of programs. - Support MoHCC in development and implementation of national plans for key interventions including strategic and operational planning and funding mechanisms for treatment optimization, sample and results transportation, and technology selection decisions, diagnostic and treatment algorithms. - Work with various MoHCC departments, the CHAI country, and global teams to adapt and/or develop elaborate strategic and implementation plans to strengthen diagnostics services. - Work with MoHCC and other partners to advance plans for a supply chain management system for commodities, including development of supply chain tools to support accelerated product roll-out for new diagnostics for HIV. - Liaise closely with technical partners in government to monitor and evaluate interventions against objectives and targets, and compile progress reports and deliver presentations related to program activities- Represent CHAI Zimbabwe during Ministry of Health HIV, Supply Chain and Cervical Cancer technical working groups (TWG) and sub working groups meetings within the MoHCC. - Provide technical support for effective and sustainable training programs, quality assurance and data management to support accelerated roll-out for new diagnostic technologies. - Provide technical expertise to the design, set up, and implementation of quality program for diagnostic/treatment activities and monitor program performance and participation. - Provide technical support and manage roll-out of expedited patient results reporting systems for laboratory tests as well as robust patient tracking/linkage to care systems. - Drive operational and policy changes to maximize impact of diagnostic testing including testing algorithms, clinic workflow, strategic deployment guidelines for selected diagnostic technologies and efficiency of treatment service delivery models. - Assist in operationalization of other trainings, review meetings, summits, and other activities by planning and budgeting, organizing logistics, liaising with MoHCC stakeholders, and working with the operations team to make any necessary arrangements. - Provide technical advice to MoHCC on health systems strengthening related issues.- Support resource mobilization efforts and proposal writing on behalf of CHAI and the MoHCC. - Design and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems to measure the impact of key HIV interventions implemented by CHAI. - Support CHAI senior management as a strategic partner for all CHAI related new initiatives across the different work streams and programs. - Develop program budgets and cash forecasts, and ensure activities are executed according to work plan and approved budgets; and - Provide technical input on various HIV policies and reforms.- Develop and disseminate technical guidelines and SOPs where appropriate.- Must stay abreast with global trends and best practices in the field of HIV testing and monitoring advise the MoHCC on new health/mhealth technologies, tests/treatment, products, product uptake, procurement and supply chain that impact diagnostic/treatment services including pharmacovigilance.- Develop proposals to build capacity of MoHCC and increase sustainability of the aforementioned activities, including budgeting and proposal writing.- Conduct other activities as required.

Responsibilities of the position span Program management, strategy development and execution, and grant development and management, technical assistance, and management of a team: S/he will be responsible for - Oversee all aspects of CHAI Zimbabwe’s Access programs portfolio, including goal setting, planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and reporting.- Actively support their teams to develop strategic work plans and monitor progress, identifying challenges and supporting the identification of solutions.- Proactively identify and communicate to the Country Director developments in the internal or external operating environment that may have an impact on grant outcomes.- Identify opportunities and pursue new areas of work and partnerships that will have added dramatic and leveraged impact on health outcomes for patients- Navigate political complexities to build and maintain strong working relationships with senior stakeholders in government, local partners, and NGOs, and ensure coordination of resources and efforts- Work with Ministry of Health to develop capacity and create sustainable systems to ensure ongoing access to the most effective diagnostics and treatment nationwide post project transition period- Assume an active role in supporting the development of national policies and strategic plans that enable more effective delivery of health services.- Manage and coach program staff, establishing clear performance goals, and ensure grant deliverables and government milestones are delivered on time and are of high quality- Conduct performance appraisals as well as real-time feedback sessions to provide guidance and mentorship to program managers and staff.- Develop, monitor, and effectively manage program budgets ensuring that activities are executed according to the work plan and approved budgets- Lead the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems to measure impact and assess progress against project goals- Support and review key analyses on major program deliverables including identifying project risks and help develop solutions.- Develop and present progress reports for internal and external stakeholders including MOH, and donors- Support the Country Director in refining CHAI Zimbabwe’s Access strategy and continually identify opportunities to add value and maximize impact based on the organization’s core strengths.- Work closely with the Country Director to support development of grant proposals and business development.- Develop detailed workplans and preliminary budgets based on grant frameworks.- Work collaboratively with other program teams at CHAI to identify and advance opportunities and synergies for program collaboration.- Represent CHAI in key strategic and technical meetings.- Build and maintain institutional capacity and identify and facilitate opportunities for inter-program knowledge sharing including knowledge management.- Lead effective collaboration and coordination with any local project partners, sub-grantees involved in the program delivery.
