We are seeking a highly motivated individual with outstanding analytical, strategic, communication and teamwork skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:- Supporting the strategic design of market-shaping interventions to support the African vaccine manufacturing ecosystem.- Driving quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform global policy and increase the evidence base for high-impact interventions.- Supporting technical assistance implementation to drive on-the-ground impact in scaling-up the African vaccine manufacturing sector (e.g., business cases for vaccine technology transfers, policy proposals for the procurement of African-made vaccines).- Proactively developing and managing relationships with key partners to support the growth of the African vaccine manufacturing industry.- Leading preparation of presentations, reports, and other analyses to be shared with external stakeholders through white papers, conferences, and academic journal articles.- Creatively scoping and initiating projects that could contribute to further improving the African vaccine manufacturing ecosystem.
Program Leadership- Lead the development and maintenance of the SRH’s theory of change, strategic initiatives, and performance management.- Translate objectives provided by the government, donors, and other partner organizations to provide guidance to SRH team on prioritization of initiatives.- Identify strategic areas for expansion and guide strategic planning or proposal development needed for future program development.- Collaborate with SRH team to meet established program objectives under MOHSA guidance, including, but not limited: increasing contraceptive access and security, improving the distribution and quantity of trained SRH service. providers, advocating for nutrition status improvement.Stakeholder Coordination- Establish collaborative relationships with the MOHSA and other relevant national and local government bodies.- Coordinate trainings, distributions, and other activities across government and partner stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful execution.- Collaborate with internal CHAI global and country teams to facility access to key information and stakeholders, provide updates, and leverage core competencies of the various teams including the Global SRH.Donor Relationship Management- Coordinate with donor organizations to provide progress updates, performance metrics, and other reporting requirements.- Manage the SRH program budget and liaise with appropriate CHAI internal and donor teams to meet all mandated requirements.- Quantify any gaps in funding required to achieve goals, and provide appropriate rationale and analysis needed to advocate for any additional funding.- Identify and develop new program and funding opportunities and develop and manage relationships with existing and potential donors.- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Country Director or such other manager as CHAI may designate.
Administration- Assisting with the management of daily operational activities.- Performing administrative tasks, such as making travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, etc.- Managing office supplies and the maintenance of office equipment.- Managing country procurement planning and the office inventory process.Program Operations- Assisting with project management by creating assignments, tracking progress, and resolving issues.- Planning and organizing conferences, events, staff training, and employee engagement activities.Human Resources- Coordinating the proper allocation of human resources.- Managing country Employees performance Improvement Plan.- Work with Global Teams to setup a country fellowship program.- Arranging and assisting with the onboarding of new employees.- Handling the staff performance improvement strategy and process.Finances- Monitoring Petty cash management.- Ensure country operations compliance with donors, CHAI and government policies.- Preparing and maintaining operations documents and reports.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of high-impact projects- Assist in updating M&E framework- Ensure alignment of program M&E framework with existing data systems and results frameworks- Provide research and analytical support- Develop tools such as survey instruments, protocols, and databases for program monitoring and evaluation purposes- Support evaluation and documentation of results and impact from CHAI's work- Develop tools for the presentation and dissemination of information to inform program design and modifications by decision-makers and for optimization of program strategies- Build and manage relationships with key individuals in the Ministry of Health, in CHAI and relevant partner organizations- Represent CHAI at relevant technical working groups and meetings- Establish baseline and end line measures across target counties and at the national level- Evaluate current use of data systems at the facility, county, and central level and provide recommendations for integration of program M&E with existing systems and using existing population-based surveys and assessments- Identify potential areas of additional support in existing and new focal countries- Build capacity of county and health facility staff in timely and accurate health data collection, management and dissemination- Contribute to donor reports- Conduct other formative and operational research as necessary- Perform other tasks as necessary
- Contribute to the planning and execution of high-impact projects- Provide research and analytical support- Support evaluation and documentation of results and impact from CHAI's work- Develop influential presentation materials that work for varying audiences- Present findings of analyses to a broad range of internal and external audiences in meetings and conferences- Build and manage relationships with key individuals in the Ministry of Health, senior-level stakeholders at procurement agencies, manufacturers, other NGOs, and relevant partner organizations- Identify potential areas of additional support in existing and new focal countries- Design models to assess new opportunities to improve or expand pharmaceutical access programs in the developing world- Develop clear communications materials based upon analyses- Perform other tasks as necessary
