For the past year, LST has worked in over 15 countries to support countries’ national Covid-19 response. This has included market shaping efforts at the global level to ensure that low-and-middle income countries get access to an equitable supply of high-quality diagnostic tests for Covid-19 at affordable prices, as well as support on-the-ground in countries to ensure readiness for Covid-19 testing, through the development of robust testing strategies, introduction and roll-out of novel products such as antigen tests, strengthening of data management and connectivity systems, etc.  Given the impending rollout of vaccines across countries, LST is moving into a new phase of its work on Covid-19. The focus will remain on further strengthening Covid-19 testing systems that have been introduced over the past few months, while at the same time ensuring that testing and vaccination strategies in countries work in tandem for a strong and holistic Covid-19 response. To support this work, we are seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual with outstanding analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities. Responsibilities:- Provide technical support and bandwidth across country teams on a broad range of activities, including but not limited to Covid-19 testing-related strategy and planning, forecasting, procurements and supply chain management, etc.- Work closely with the Global Vaccines team on country support and facilitate involvement of topic area experts from LST or other CHAI teams on country work streams as required- Collaborate with the Global Markets team to support CHAI’s supply-side engagement on Covid-19 diagnostics- Lead preparations of presentations, reports, and other analyses to inform global and country-level strategy on Covid-19 testing- Support internal and external reporting requirements and coordinate with global and country teams, as needed, to seek inputs- Up to 50% international travel time could be required once situation allows- Other responsibilities as needed

Provide technical support and bandwidth to country programs (40%)- Provide technical support and bandwidth across country programs on a broad range of activities, including but not limited to diagnostic related policy, forecasting, procurements and supply chain management, case finding, sample transportation, laboratory capacity, etc.- Facilitate involvement of other topic area experts on country work streams as required and encourage a positive spirit of collaboration between team members across program (e.g. linking to LST global Diagnostic Network Optimization efforts)- Support preparation of country deliverables (tools, presentations, proposals, concept notes etc.)- Provide additional capacity to country teams as needed in government, partner and supplier meetings, facility visits, conduct trainings, etc.Support diagnostic market intelligence and cross-cutting diagnostic work streams (30%)- Stay abreast of global diagnostic developments and programmatic interventions/strategies and analyze trends and implications for hepatitis- Manage hepatitis diagnostic supply-side strategies/strategic planning, scope diagnostic pipeline and facilitate engagement, as appropriate, with maturing diagnostic companies- Track in country diagnostic availability and pricing for hepatitis program countries- Help create price transparency and lead market shaping to decrease pricing for optimal products- Develop diagnostic tools, resource packets and documentation to support implementation of diagnostic interventions- Support the external dissemination of diagnostic market intelligence with input from country teams- Ensure trends, best practices and lessons learned are shared and integrated into diagnostic strategy for the program, e.g. disseminating updates, learnings and facilitation of webinars- Identify, lead and collaborate with other team members on relevant cross-cutting work streams- Represent CHAI at regional strategic forums and meetings, as needed- Manage select relationships with external and internal hepatitis partners, as assignedProvide strategic guidance and planning support (20%)- Support and contribute to global hepatitis diagnostic strategy development efforts to ensure progress toward program targets- Regularly engage in and support reviews of global and country work stream progress and identify implementation barriers, develop solutions, and identify resources and next steps- Support development and refinement country strategy and work plans, in line with global strategy, identifying strategies to expand case finding and diagnostic capacity and sharing best practices- Support drafting of concept notes and fundraising proposals for global and country programs- Attend advocacy and strategy-related meetings with stakeholders, where necessaryProvide coordination support across global and country programs (10%)- Communicate key updates to broader team to inform on progress and seek inputs on strategy- Share global updates with country teams and highlight relevance to country programs- Support coordination on internal and external reporting requirements from country programs- Other responsibilities as needed
