- Lead and drive the success of CHAI’s malaria and NTD program in Benin including setting the vision and goals, prioritizing resources, and developing country-specific work plans - Proactively monitor and manage execution of CHAI’s malaria and NTD program in Benin to ensure that expected deliverables and targets are achieved on time and within budget  - Identify and problem-solve challenges in meeting objectives including internal and external conflict resolution, budget constraints, and other operational challenge and apply strategic and critical thinking to adjust objectives and activities accordingly - Build strong relationships with stakeholders from government, partner organizations and local institutions to facilitate coordination, problem solving, alignment of objectives and delivery of results - Work closely with CHAI’s regional technical teams and managers to identify strategic areas for expansion or redirection and guide strategic planning or proposal development as needed - Demonstrate leadership and directly manage all members of the CHAI Benin Malaria and NTD team  - Synthesize results and communicate them internally and externally at national and regional venues through high-quality presentations, reports, and publications - Oversee the operational and financial management of the country program, including budget planning and reporting, as well as leading the finalization of CHAI’s corporate setup in Benin.  This may include the need to serve on the local Board of Directors of the CHAI Benin entity and act as the point person for vendor relationships. - Act in an official signing capacity as the official CHAI, Inc. representative in Benin with the government - Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

 Le/la chargé(e) de projet senior appuiera le gouvernement dans l’élaboration et la mise en œuvre d’un plan opérationnel pour l’amélioration du système de santé primaire. Responsabilités En étroite coordination avec le responsable CHAI du programme paludisme au Burkina Faso et dans la sous-région, fournir un soutien opérationnel et de gestion à l'équipe de lutte antivectorielle du programme national de lutte contre le paludisme. En tant qu’assistant technique, le poste sera essentiellement basé au PNLP afin d’apporter un appui quotidien au jour le jour et un renforcement des capacités de l’équipe de lutte antivectorielle, suivant le plan de travail défini avec CHAI et le PNLP, et pour atteindre le maximum d’impact. Le candidat reportera au Manager du programme Paludisme de CHAI sur les progrès obtenus en lien avec la stratégie de CHAI, avec un lien indirect de reporting au coordonnateur du PNLP et ses équipes techniques. In partnership with and at the request of the Ministry of Health, working together with and supported by the EOC & Oxygen Team, the Associate will provide the targeted support in strengthen coordination in following areas:- Support the COVID-19 Logistics Committee to strengthen the collaboration between key internal and external logistics stakeholders to avoid and eliminate possible duplication of commodity support.- Maintain the COVID-19 Logistics Estimation and Modeling Tool in response to the emerging epidemiological situation by collaborating with the key departments/centers/hospitals. This Excel-based tool provides minimum and maximum stock quantity estimations for critical commodity requirements at central, provincial, and district warehouses and health facilities. This tool also enables the continuous tracking of pledges and good received and distribution requirements based on needs.- Support the COVID-19 Logistics Committee and key departments and centers in ensuring commodity needs and gaps are clear, and to coordinate donor support, including the process of coordinating, maintaining, regularly updating, and sharing the COVID-19 logistic master lists to both internal and external stakeholders.- Support Development Partner and MOH Coordination, including the development of monthly stock status and need updates and supporting coordination as needed between the committee and donors/stakeholders.- Update the stock monitoring and distribution planning processes based on the 2021-2022 COVID-19 logistic estimates, including support for COVID-19 vaccine distribution, by strengthening command and coordination between central and sub-national COVID-19 logistic committee on stock availability at the sub-national level.- Support sub-national visibility into COVID-19 equipment and supplies by mapping the central and sub-national COVID-19 item distribution processes and stakeholders and identifying improvements.
