Provide strategic, technical, and planning support and bandwidth to country programs (60%):- Support country teams to develop country-level strategy and work plans, coordinated with global CHAI strategy- Provide day-to-day thought partnership, technical support, and bandwidth across country programs, including but not limited to policy, forecasting, M&E, service delivery and market shaping- Design and develop high quality deliverables to support the scale-up of country programs, including presentations, concept notes, tools, and models- Utilize and analyze programmatic data to support the monitoring of country-level program process against milestones, and work with Program Management to identify and mitigate risks to achieving program and grant goals- Support logistic management of product donation and monitoring of drug availability in country, ensuring strong systems are in place to ensure replenishment systemProvide coordination support across global and country programs (25%):- Share country updates with broader global team to inform global priorities and keep team members up to date on ongoing areas for support- Share global priorities, guidance, evidence, and updates with country teams to support development of national COVID-19 test and treat programming- Collect, consolidate, and share lessons learned and best practices (strategies, tools, and experience) across country programs to maximize impact of learnings- Provide support on cross-country / global work streams, including internal and external reportingSupport cross-cutting global work streams, projects, and communications (15%):- Actively participate in cross-cutting strategic planning and problem solving related to the growth, success, and sustainability of the COVID-19 Treatment Access program- Support drafting program updates, presentations, concept notes, proposals, and meeting plans, as needed- Lead or support development and implementation of special projects to further global impact, as needed- Work collaboratively with Global Diagnostic Team (GDT), Global Analytics and Implementation Research (AIR) team, Global Markets Team (GMT), other relevant CHAI global teams, and CHAI country teams to achieve project goals

There is flexibility for this role to be based in another CHAI program country in Sub-Saharan Africa (Kenya, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, Malawi), pending leadership approval.
- Work with MOHCC and partners to accelerate introduction and uptake of new COVID-19 medicines (including supporting development/dissemination of new guidelines, development of roll-out plans, tracking uptake and cost benefit analysis)- Work with MOHCC, the CHAI country and global teams to adapt and/or develop strategic and implementation plans- Support the design and implementation processes including systems for collection, collation, and synthesis of program data to inform program strategy, operations and reviews- Support training and roll-out of COVID-19 treatment through a test-and-treat program including pharmacovigilance associated with rolling out new treatment- Support the test-and-treat operational research (OR) component through protocol adaptation/finalization, facility data collection, analysis, and reporting, including cleaning and managing data obtained for the study and respond to data set queries- Communicate with the OR study team by organizing and coordinating meetings to discuss activities, progress, and challenges- Organizing and participating in health facility supervision visits in collaboration with MOHCC and other partners- Conduct procurement/export, clearing and distribution of medicines or related products procured by CHAI- Actively participate in national COVID-19 commodity quantification processes with MOHCC- Monitor supply chain and stock status across facilities and support MOHCC as required to minimize stock-outs- Work with the MOHCC and partners to assess opportunities for optimization of national Covid-19 treatment guidelines- Documentation of case studies and best practices as part of knowledge management and sharing within the access to medicines community in CHAI and beyond- Collect and analyse country level clinical data for treatment and diagnostic commodities to support Covid-19 programmatic decision making- Any other duties as assigned by the Program Manager

Working closely with CHAI teams, country governments, and partners:- Landscape review: develop a deep understanding of industry-leading program/project management, financial/accounting, and business operations technology- and process-based solutions, including how they can be deployed and utilized in malaria program settings.- Identify gaps: scope and identify malaria programs that could benefit from improvements to their existing processes, tools, and structures for managing and utilizing programmatic and financial data.- Country-specific scoping: understand and document the context and perspective of government programs facing challenges and their critical needs.- Offer solutions: propose feasible, tailored, and actionable solutions to improve programs’ ability to track and manage implementation of their programmatic and financial plans. This may include improvements to management structures, processes, or technologies.- Detail specifications and requirements: define project scope, select appropriate technology, and define requirements, specifications, process and data flows, and end users.- Configuration: select, liaise with, and manage sub-contractors (system implementers or software developers) as needed to build and/or configure tools according to the defined requirements and timelines.- Change management: Develop training materials and help train program staff in the use of introduced solutions as well as establish best practice SOPs for day-to-day use of these solutions.- Advocacy: Support the development of proposals and funding requests as needed to expand the reach of this to new geographies or intensify support where needed.

Employee Relations (40%)• Advise assigned Country leadership and staff on building team morale, increasing productivity and retention, and resolving complex employee relations issues with adept cultural sensitivity.• Provide guidance on practices that promote effective and harmonious working relationships across CHAI’s diverse matrix, in line with our principles of engagement.• Handle sensitive matters and intake complaints from employees and others based on the guidance and direction of their supervisor. Support the execution of confidential investigations, as assigned, of alleged harassment, bullying, discrimination, abuse and exploitation, and other misconduct. Contribute to the writing of investigative reports for Global HR leadership and summaries for CHAI leadership.• Under the guidance of their supervisor, serve as Focal Point for issues pertaining to CHAI’s Global Code of Conduct and the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse & Harassment (PSEAH).HR Operations & Compliance (30%) • Provide guidance to assigned country teams on compensation and equity, HR procedure and policy interpretation, host-country compliance, and recruiting and retention strategies.• Advise assigned countryteams on compensation decisions by analyzing internal data and providing recommendations that align with CHAI’s compensation framework.• Work with other members of CHAI HR to facilitate employment agreements and interpret labor regulations and HR-related legal issues for country offices and international staff, research and interpret overseas labor laws, perform and support HR audits, and support reviews and changes to HR-related manuals and documents.• Anticipate and proactively research legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, to help reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with Contracts department and Global Operations team as needed and provide guidance to managers as appropriate on a case by case basis,• Work with members of Global HR team to complete administrative work related to HR processes including contract renewals, payroll changes, etc. in a timely manner.Professional Development, Training & Workforce Planning (20%) • Deliver learning and development activities to promote a respectful workplace, talent development, management skills, and other capacity-building needs in line with CHAI’s approach to on-the-job learning. • Provide coaching, guidance and communication as needed to program teams on a variety of topics including, but not limited to; staff performance, professional development, giving and receiving feedback, diversity, equity and inclusion, etc.• Work alongside country teams and Talent Acquisition to provide input on team restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.• Identify training needs for assigned global program teams and individual manager needs.• Proactively identify opportunities to equip team members with resources that support professional development and internal mobility.Projects & Other HR Work (10%)• Lead or support on a variety of recurring and standalone projects in line with the Global HR strategic priorities.• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis based on the needs of the HR team and various global teams.• Provide other HR services as needed and requested.
