African Health Diagnostics Project (AHDP) - Conduct stakeholder engagements required to establish a possible public-private partnership agreement in the diagnostics landscape in Malawi.- Support defining and refining of potential project options and conduct prefeasibility analysis of each option.- Play a leading role in conducting in depth feasibility study for selected project option(s).- Recommend options for PPPs that deliver on the country’s diagnostic goals but are also affordable, and viable as business propositions for private sector providers and align to the health financing vision of the Health Sector Strategic Plan III.- Align the scope of the proposed PPP (including the types of diagnostics services at each level of care) with the integrated Health Service Packages.- Project the expected CapEx and OpEx costs for diagnostics services in the PPP and analyze sustainable long-term financing options for these services in alignment for the Health Sector Strategic Plan III’s vision.- Lead presentations and discussions with relevant government departments and stakeholders (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, Public Private Partnership Commission, etc.) as well as with donors.- Support the design of a tendering process and workflow for private investor which maximizes the chance of receiving competitive bids and selecting a competent provider.- Facilitate and advise on negotiations and engagement with private sector bidders, on behalf of governments to ensure value for money is achieved from the PPPs.Cross-cutting Analytical Support to Infectious Diseases cluster- Conduct, in collaboration with other team members, real-time analysis of infectious diseases/epidemics intelligence data, from a broad range of sources including non-health sectors, for infectious diseases/epidemic forecasting and detection.- Analyse, systematize, and disseminate scientific and evidence-based technical information and knowledge.- Support the development of research protocols, Situation Reports, management of real time dashboards, other related regular and ad-hoc surveillance reports.- Develop and implement data collection systems, data analyses using statistical techniques, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases to bring visibility and support decision making.- Understand the programs requirements to identify problems to solve and restrict the slice of data to be explored.- Perform statistical analysis and experiments to derive programme insights and report on measurable impacts of programs being implemented.- Develop detailed and clear tools based on the indicators for gathering data from various sources.- Perform cleaning, processing, and validation on the data subjects to analyse, to ensure its quality and visibility.- Clearly communicate the findings from the analysis to turn information into something actionable through reports, dashboards, and/or presentations.- Provide input to communications and information products (situation reports, Health Cluster bulletins, policy briefs, etc.) as required.- Strengthen the capacities of national and sub-national M&E teams for the effective and sustained monitoring of epidemics/infectious diseases through training courses.- Perform any other incident-specific related duties as required by the functional supervisor.

- Support the Global Market Team (GMT) in developing and implementing CHAI’s supply-side strategy for the Nutrition portfolio- Develop a detailed understanding and documentation of supplier dynamics, including market share of suppliers, pricing offered by suppliers, timelines for product development and manufacturing, timelines for obtaining quality assurance for key drugs and diagnostics, status of in-country registration of drugs, in-country dossier filing timelines, and suppliers’ development and access strategies- Analyze market trends and develop demand forecasts and uptake models for new and existing commodities and services- Liaise with the R&D team, the disease team and country teams to develop the market analysis required to support negotiations with suppliers to expedite time-to-market, reduce pricing and improve supply security - Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential suppliers of drugs and diagnostics in low-middle-income markets by providing market insights and contacts, offering targeted support and guidance to navigate regulatory and procurement processes- Support the development and evaluation of Request of Proposals for commodities and services in collaboration with CHAI country programs and government partners- Monitor supplier compliance with contracts, global and domestic funding for product purchase, and product uptake- Prepare presentations, reports, and other analyses to inform global policy and increase the evidence base for high-impact interventions. - Oversee existing community co-creation portfolio in Benin (project management)- Coordinate and supervise implementation of community-based solutions to fight malaria, co-developed together with select at-risk communities in Benin;- Establish strong relationships with Benin’s National Malaria Control Program (NMCP), project implementing partner(s) and community partners, fostering a climate of trust and cooperation;- Project Management: Lead project status update meetings with various project constituents to ensure project activities are implemented according to schedule with high fidelity, budgetary alignment, and meticulous reporting;- Develop a continuous process to track progress of project activities, identify day-to-day issues through process monitoring, and provide timely information to stakeholders for informed decision-making and course-correction.- Design and implement systematic tracking, analysis and mapping of quantitative and qualitative indicators on (i) coverage and quality of malaria prevention, treatment and surveillance and (ii) community perceptions in specified project communities;- Support development of robust performance measurement systems and tools that are adapted to community-based approaches to data collection, analysis, and action.- Develop strategies for ensuring that project communities remain at the center of project ideation, implementation, and iteration throughout the project’s course, mobilizing required technical expertise to support capacity building, and guiding remedial action when needed.- Document and disseminate learnings from community co-creation work (evidence generation and knowledge management)- Together with the implementing partner and the support of CHAI’s gender technical advisor, ensure quality reporting of project activities, inclusive of gender transformative outcomes, and disseminate learnings across the organization- Produce quality project narrative and financial reports for timely submission, collaborating closely with government, implementing and community partners;- Generate Sex, Age, and Disability Disaggregated Data (SADDD) over the course of the project, documenting gender transformational change;- Produce infographics on social and gender outcomes of the project and share with stakeholders at different levels;- Conduct collaborative evaluations of community co-creation work to highlight key strengths and weaknesses;- Work with key stakeholders to influence national policy where relevant, and develop strategies and plans to stimulate change (in the short-term, medium-term, and long-term);- Share community engagement and gender transformative programming learnings within CHAI and beyond as appropriate.- Lead and facilitate relevant knowledge sharing activities to document and exchange lessons learned across the project implementation area and beyond, serving as a trusted advisor to CHAI country teams and external stakeholders where relevant;- Advise on community engagement and mobilization strategies in Benin and in other countries- Represent CHAI’s community engagement work in convenings with the Benin NMCP and others, building and sharing organizational expertise;- In collaboration with CHAI Benin’s Community Health Associate, help shape and improve other case management and community health efforts using data and evidence, to inform resource mobilization strategies, grant applications, and national government policies;- Scope new opportunities to engage in meaningful community co-creation work beyond Benin – engaging with ministries and partner organizations; explore new funding opportunities (for implementation and research).- Other responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.
