The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-income countries, while strengthening the capabilities of governments and the private sector in those countries to create and sustain high-quality health systems that can succeed without our assistance. The Ministry of Health (MoH) in Eswatini strives to achieve elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in the country, with the National Bilharzia (Schistosomiasis) Worm Control Program (NBWCP) specifically targeting elimination of schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminths (STH). The primary strategies deployed to achieve this goal are annual Mass Drug Administration (MDA) campaigns, as well as strengthened surveillance to guide decision-making and monitor progress toward these elimination goals. CHAI Eswatini has supported the Ministry of Health since 2009 in various different program and strategic areas to achieve sustainable public health goals, and has recently begun collaborating with the MoH to improve NTD data systems.
