    In India since 2004, CHAI works as a trusted partner to the Ministry of Health at the central level and at the State level to expand access to care and treatment for patients across critical health needs, including HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria, child and maternal health and nutrition.


    CHAI is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our MP team as Program Officer-Capacity Building to support the capacity building initiatives (technical assistance and training) across all projects in MP. The ideal candidate should have core implementation experience of capacity building efforts in a large scale program, this would include managing a large/diverse set of the implementation partners, advocacy drives at the district/block level.


    Major responsibilities

    • Assist in implementing a capacity building strategy for the state and monitor its effectiveness
    • Actively participate in strengthening the existing training materials used at various levels
    • Assist in managing and coordinating various training programs of capacity building in the state
    • Support in development of detailed training plans, training modules and effective job aids
    • Support on-going training efforts of frontline workers and leverage existing training tools to build capacities of front line workers and supervisory cadre
    • Monitoring quality of the trainings being rendered
    • Collect and analyse post-training feedback to assess the effectiveness of the training sessions
    • Field data management and analysis to help drive decision making
    • To document the best practices of capacity building exercise, lessons learnt and impact assessment


    • Master's degree in Social Sciences or related field
    • At least 5-7 years of experience in capacity building and training
    • In-depth knowledge of participatory and adult training methods
    • Ability to develop training materials in Hindi and conduct trainings in Hindi
    • Excellent planning and organisational skills

    • Flexibility to travel extensively within the state
    • Proficiency in applications of MS Office & MS excel
    • Strong oral and written communication skills in Hindi and English
