About the Position:

 

The Systems Administrator is part of a cohesive, high-performing IT team supporting 1800 users in over 30 countries. Our goal is to ensure that our systems are reliable, secure, and robust to support CHAI staff, volunteers, and partners fulfill their mission of expanding access and care to health care services in underserved areas.

 

Located at the CIPL office in New Delhi, India, the Systems Administrator will play a key role in the global IT team, managing cloud-based systems and local servers in support of global operations. The person in this position is focused on cloud-based file sharing and collaboration services and will lead our efforts in this area. SSO integration between Active Directory and cloud-based systems is a critical component of the role. The Systems Administrator will manage all cloud-based system backups, updates, growth, user accounts and security groups. They will provide in depth training to the Helpdesk Engineers as well as creating end-user training for staff. This position requires a self-starter who is knowledgeable, meticulous, and resourceful to be successful and effective in a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment. Must be excited by the challenge of tackling projects in new areas, quickly building knowledge and skills and effectively applying them.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Box cloud-based file sharing application while supporting 1800 users based around the world
  • Provide support to staff located globally on cloud-based file sharing applications
  • Provide training and support to staff on the Box application
  • Proactively manage staff access and data security and integrity to cloud based file sharing systems.
  • Integrate a Single Sign-On application with Microsoft Active Directory and cloud-based applications
  •  Maintain Microsoft Windows 2012 and 2019 servers in the corporate data center and remote sites in virtual and physical environments.

  • Create and maintain updated documentation for all technical aspects of operations.

  • Must be excited about learning new things, patient in dealing with complex and sometimes high-pressure situations, and must have excellent attention to detail.

  • Provide tier 2 support to the helpdesk engineers utilizing our helpdesk system.

  • Collaborate well in a small team environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of six years of relevant work experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role
  • Prior experience managing cloud-based systems and Microsoft Windows Server environments
  • Proficiency in cloud-based file sharing applications such as Box and managing SSO integrations with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Strong expertise in administering and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and 2019 in both virtual and physical environments
  • Experience with cloud backups, security groups, and user account management
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and data integrity management for cloud systems
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell or similar tools is preferred
  • Exceptional analytical (qualitative and quantitative) skills with attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train and support end-users globally
  • Able to work well in a diverse, multicultural environment, demonstrating adaptability and respect in cross-cultural settings
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, self-motivate, and propose and implement new initiatives
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, limited-structure environment
  • Ability to think strategically, handle ambiguity, and solve problems under pressure
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar cloud certification preferred
  • CompTIA Security+ or other relevant IT security certifications preferred
  • Willingness to learn new technologies quickly and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to absorb and synthesize a broad range of technical information effectively
  • Willingness to travel if required
