We are seeking a highly motivated individual with outstanding analytical, strategic, communication and teamwork skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:- Lead the creation of an insight-oriented procurement fact base on the current state of global vaccine procurement, including insights and comparisons by region, vaccine, procurement entity, and funding source; an overview of UNICEF’s procurement model and analysis of its market-shaping power; as well as case studies of global pooled procurement initiatives.- Design and oversight of qualitative research and analyses on regional procurement model motivations and aspirations with key stakeholders at the global level, at the continental and sub-regional level (e.g., Africa CDC, ECOWAS, SADC), with vaccine manufacturers and their associations globally and in Africa, as well as with governments.- Design and conduct a benefit-risk assessment of adopting a regional procurement model, with a focus on market and programmatic implications.- Identify and assess potential transition scenarios to a regional procurement entity in Africa.- Manage the day-to-day collaboration with an external project partner and act as integrator to bring together both workstreams in a cohesive way.- Lead preparation of presentations, reports, and other analyses to be shared with external stakeholders.- Guide and oversee a team of two associates, including providing hands-on guidance and expertise in technical matters, sharing your deep knowledge to assist the team in overcoming technical challenges and making informed decisions.- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, ensuring that each team member understands their roles and responsibilities within the context of the broader organizational goals.

- Collaborate regularly with the MoH-CDC, local partners and other relevant stakeholders to support implementation and scale-up of national hepatitis program- Support identification of good practices and lessons learned, in coloration with national, provincial, district health authorities and health centres- Support improvement of data monitoring processes and systems, with a focus on using program data to identify areas for improvement within initial roll-out to inform subsequent national scale-up- Partner with MoH-CDC to conduct regular monitoring of program progress and execution across 15 Operational Districts, including supporting with supervision visits, identifying solutions, and communicating with subnational facilities to resolve ad-hoc issues- Serve as thought partner to MoH-CDC around future integration of Viral Hepatitis program into existing national processes and systems (including referral processes)- Participate in resource mobilization efforts for national viral hepatitis program, including updating the investment case, drafting proposal or budgets as needed- Support identification of financing channels (through social protection schemes, domestic financing, others) for long-term sustainability of HBV and HCV services- Develop and contribute to the drafting of key documents, including budget proposals and regular program reporting- Collaborate with the government to ensure skills transfer and government ownership- Act as strategic thought partner to program manager
- Participate in all relevant administrative, financial and project related review and planning meetings (including preparation of project budgets).- Responsible for organizational and project related bookkeeping / accounting work, including recording of all financial transactions using accounting software.- Ensure booking of expenses in line with approved budget, accounts code, budget line etc for proper reporting and monitoring of expenses.- Ensure completion of all the documents in vouchers before processing the payment.- Process payments to partners, vendors, and employees on timely basis.- Ensure timely settlement of advance payments to staff/vendors.- Ensure timely payment of monthly statutory dues, closure of monthly accounts and reporting.- Prepare monthly office / project specific financial reports. Assist with reconciliation of books of accounts with overall accounts maintained by the Head Office.- Ensure that administrative and financial registers (like registers for attendance, leave records, Staff movement, personal vehicle use, incoming and outgoing correspondence, stocks) are maintained properly.- Assist the Finance Officer/Lead in all financial audit related activities, at project or organizational level.- Undertake any other activities and responsibilities as reasonably required by the organization/Supervisor.- Maintaining appropriate files/records/documents towards meeting legal and statutory requirements.
- Lead meeting planning and coordination, support recruitment and onboarding of new staff members, update program communication materials, maintain knowledge management platforms, and manage software licenses- Develop internal management and donor reporting templates, and manage processes for completion of templates- Ensure knowledge flow for team, including the sharing of information and knowledge across CHAI teams- Support development of subrecipient contracts, processing of invoices, tracking of payments, and monitoring of contract spend against budget- Write, edit, and format reports and presentations- Plan and attend team meetings, including assisting in the arrangements of hotels, tracking related expenses and agendas for team meetings- Develop and maintain administrative resources to facilitate efficient operations across the program (contact lists, calendar, website, etc.)- Manage and organize program documents, data, and files- Provide thought partnership with the Program Director to improve operational efficiency and a positive team culture- Perform other tasks as necessary
- Support WJCF’s Immunization team and the Government of Bihar in implementing the routine immunization program by strengthening management, governance, service delivery, and supply chain aspects.- Provide the state leadership with insights to aid key policy, strategy, and program implementation decisions. The role also involves supporting the government in developing high-impact reports and presentations. The analyst will be instrumental in communicating key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, fostering informed decision-making at all levels.- Develop the capacity of the state and sub-state program managers in data analytics by developing easy to use dashboards and performance reports for program review meetings, planning, and decision-making.- Analyst will also support the state in training of program managers and data handlers in data analytics.- Conceptualize, design, and coordinate program monitoring and evaluation close collaboration with the state and program leadership.- Document program progress through reports, presentations, concept notes, proposals, and templates for internal use and dissemination at state and national levels.- Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the immunization ecosystem in the state.- Create customized tools and templates for evidence driven decision-making and review at the sub-state level.- Travel on short notice to various parts of the state.- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Supervisor.
- Support the Program Manager in the development and execution of the program strategy and operational plan for the implementation research project.- Conceptualize, develop and execute research methodologies, using qualitative and quantitative data collection tools, to learn about the root-causes behind under-immunization and support in the solution design as part of the implementation research project.- Provide regular analytical and programmatic support to the team on Routine Immunization strengthening initiatives- Develop purposive research insights, visualizations, tools, templates, and planning aids that support in dissemination of research outputs and overall impact of programmatic efforts.- Stay updated of public health trends and emerging technologies to inform research projects and contribute to ongoing learning and improvement.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and the development of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.- Maintain accurate records of research activities, data sources, and analytical processes, ensuring transparency and accountability.- Support the field team members on identified aspects that help them improve their research and documentation skills and aid their growth journey.- Travel on short notice to various parts of the state and occasionally to national destinations.- Undertake any other duties as requested by program leadership.
• Work as an integral part of the provincial team to provide focused support on the execution of the malaria reduction strategies;• Support annual and monthly planning of malaria activities in the province;• Serve as a liaison between CHAI’s malaria technical teams and the province to support translation of global guidance on malaria reduction into successful implementation at provincial level;• Work very closely with provincial and district health teams to strengthen adherence to surveillance algorithms and tools, including participating in the training of district and health facility staff as needed;• Support supervision of district health teams to ensure high standards in surveillance, reporting and resolving surveillance-related bottlenecks. • Support capacity building of district staff to collect, analyze and use epidemiological and vector control data to identify drivers of transmission and inform decision making.• Provide robust analytical and data management support to present progress in implementation of the malaria reduction strategies;• Support presentation and discussion of policies and strategies on malaria reduction• Any other duties as assigned by manager
African Health Diagnostics Project (AHDP) - Conduct stakeholder engagements required to establish a possible public-private partnership agreement in the diagnostics landscape in Malawi.- Support defining and refining of potential project options and conduct prefeasibility analysis of each option.- Play a leading role in conducting in depth feasibility study for selected project option(s).- Recommend options for PPPs that deliver on the country’s diagnostic goals but are also affordable, and viable as business propositions for private sector providers and align to the health financing vision of the Health Sector Strategic Plan III.- Align the scope of the proposed PPP (including the types of diagnostics services at each level of care) with the integrated Health Service Packages.- Project the expected CapEx and OpEx costs for diagnostics services in the PPP and analyze sustainable long-term financing options for these services in alignment for the Health Sector Strategic Plan III’s vision.- Lead presentations and discussions with relevant government departments and stakeholders (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, Public Private Partnership Commission, etc.) as well as with donors.- Support the design of a tendering process and workflow for private investor which maximizes the chance of receiving competitive bids and selecting a competent provider.- Facilitate and advise on negotiations and engagement with private sector bidders, on behalf of governments to ensure value for money is achieved from the PPPs.Cross-cutting Analytical Support to Infectious Diseases cluster- Conduct, in collaboration with other team members, real-time analysis of infectious diseases/epidemics intelligence data, from a broad range of sources including non-health sectors, for infectious diseases/epidemic forecasting and detection.- Analyse, systematize, and disseminate scientific and evidence-based technical information and knowledge.- Support the development of research protocols, Situation Reports, management of real time dashboards, other related regular and ad-hoc surveillance reports.- Develop and implement data collection systems, data analyses using statistical techniques, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases to bring visibility and support decision making.- Understand the programs requirements to identify problems to solve and restrict the slice of data to be explored.- Perform statistical analysis and experiments to derive programme insights and report on measurable impacts of programs being implemented.- Develop detailed and clear tools based on the indicators for gathering data from various sources.- Perform cleaning, processing, and validation on the data subjects to analyse, to ensure its quality and visibility.- Clearly communicate the findings from the analysis to turn information into something actionable through reports, dashboards, and/or presentations.- Provide input to communications and information products (situation reports, Health Cluster bulletins, policy briefs, etc.) as required.- Strengthen the capacities of national and sub-national M&E teams for the effective and sustained monitoring of epidemics/infectious diseases through training courses.- Perform any other incident-specific related duties as required by the functional supervisor.
