In South Africa, CHAI’s SHF Team is supporting the Department of Health (DoH) at the national, provincial, and district levels and the National Treasury in strengthening the health system to support the rollout of National Health Insurance (NHI) reform, and the in implementation of scaling up HIV/TB services across the country. Key areas of technical support include NHI provider payment reform, costing of services, procurement reform, planning, and financial management, health information system implementation, and overall, the identification and realization of efficiency and improved performance and financial management.
The Analyst will be based in Pretoria, South Africa but will regularly travel to various provinces, and will report to the Program Manager of the SHF Team. They are expected to provide technical support in one or more of the following:
