The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. A strong laboratory network integrated within a high-performing health system is fundamental for countries’ ability to deliver quality health services and is critical to enabling the setup of new care programs that align with the government’s goals to achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The Ministry of Health (MoH) of Cote d’Ivoire is putting a strong emphasis on improving testing quality at a national scale by implementing innovative solutions leveraging both the private and public sectors. However, there is a need for greater visibility around the capacity and performance of the public and private laboratory network. In order to achieve this ambitious goal a diagnostic exercise aiming to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the network as well as their root causes and implications on health outcomes is required.
