Overview

The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-income countries, while strengthening the capabilities of governments and the private sector in those countries to create and sustain high-quality health systems that can succeed without our assistance. For more information, please visit: http://www.clintonhealthaccess.org

CHAI is engaged in several technology initiatives across various countries to address critical gaps in effective health systems operations and delivery. Infrastructure and human resource constraints limit the impact of public health programs and cause unacceptable delays in achieving widely recognized goals of universal access to prevention and treatment. When designed and implemented well, technology solutions can achieve transformational impact without significant capital investments and enable more efficient use of limited resources.

CHAI’s Global Information Systems (GIS) team assists several country and global teams in using technology to facilitate programmatic impact by addressing critical gaps in effective health systems operations and delivery. Currently, GIS is leading the implementation of sustainable technology solutions to strengthen national health care delivery across multiple programmatic areas including supply chain, COVID response and health financing. In addition, GIS works in close collaboration with CHAI country teams to provide technical advisory to Ministries of Health on eHealth strategy, technology led transformations and local capacity building.
