CHAI, in partnership with its India affiliate William J Clinton Foundation (WJCF), works in close partnership with and under the guidance of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) at the Central and States’ levels on an array of high priority initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes. Currently CHAI/WJCF works across projects to expand access to quality care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis-C, tuberculosis, cancer, and immunization.


Program Overview


India has the highest burden of Tuberculosis (TB) in the world, accounting for more than 27% of the global TB incidence. Of the 2.8 million annual estimated incidences, more than half access diagnosis and care in the private sector, where there are significant gaps across the care cascade because of diagnostic delays, irrational and non-standardized regimens, and catastrophic health expenditure to patients.


India has outlined an ambitious agenda of eliminating Tuberculosis by the year 2025. As outlined in the National Strategic Plan (2017-25), the cornerstone for India’s TB elimination plans hinges on scaling up of public private mix (PPM) initiatives, rolling out incentives through Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT) and scaling up ICT based solutions. Existing state health society’s capacity to contract services is limited. This has resulted in limited uptake of PPM initiatives and major gaps in private sector engagement. ­­


CHAI/WJCF is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual with strong analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative) and an exemplary record of leadership and management.   • Support capacity building of the NTEP team on new digital innovations implemented on Nikshay Portal by aligning the District TB Officers.
  • Undertake regular monitoring and support district NTEP team with technical inputs on DBT and Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) implementation.
  • Support the standardization of data collection formats and provide technical inputs on ­­­­the Management Information System (MIS) architecture and roadmap.
  • Coordinate with all the district level program staff to ensure regular follow-up on DBT-related activity.
  • Design, develop and maintain data management tools, dashboards, analytics frameworks on each activity on DBT.
  • Regular follow-ups with the Nikshay support team on the technical issues and related solution.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, management, economics, engineering, computer science, statistics, operations research areas
  • Minimum 24 months of relevant work experience in consulting, pharma, or public health analytics
  • Technical knowledge required on Windows, Java, Browser settings, and digital payment methodologies (DSC and Aadhaar Based Payment System).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, including the ability to work independently, self-motivate, and propose and implement new initiatives.
    Excellent and proficient to provide on-time technical assistance during the Digital Innovation transformation phase on Nikshay (i.e. system setup for ePayments, Nikshay mobile app setup, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, solution-oriented approach to challenges
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Word
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and nurture relationships in a challenging multicultural environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and work independently· Willingness to travel as and when required
  • Preference would be given to candidates with strong experience in program support in public health or social work programs, with focus on program management/monitoring experience.
